Leaderboard System Overview

Two Leaderboard Systems

1. Main Leaderboard (Legacy)

  • Purpose: Traditional total points ranking with regional filters
  • Data: Total points, current round points, takeovers, unique zones
  • Filters: Global or regional (by TURF region)
  • Features: Search by player name, detailed player profiles

2. Specialized Leaderboards (v2)

  • Purpose: Multiple ranking categories beyond just points
  • Categories: 9 different leaderboard types
  • Round Support: Current and historical round data
  • Advanced Features: Category-specific metrics and formatting

Main Leaderboard Features

Core Statistics

  • Total Points: Lifetime point accumulation across all rounds
  • Current Points: Points earned in the current active round
  • Total Takeovers: Lifetime zone captures
  • Unique Zones: Number of different zones ever captured

Filtering Options

  • Global View: All players worldwide
  • Regional Filter: Filter by specific TURF regions
  • Player Search: Search by exact player name
  • Round Selection: Current round only (historical rounds not supported)

Display Features

  • Pagination: 25 players per page
  • Sortable Columns: Click headers to sort by any metric
  • Player Details: Medal status, points per hour, country/region info
  • Quick Actions: Direct links to player analytics

Specialized Leaderboards (v2)

Available Leaderboard Types

Points & Scoring

  • Total Points: Players ranked by total points earned
  • Most Profitable: Players who maximize points per zone in a single track
  • Speed Demon: Players with highest points per hour average

Activity & Volume

  • Most Takeovers: Players with highest number of zone takeovers
  • Track Master: Players who have completed the most tracks
  • Zone Explorer: Players with most unique zones captured

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Most Assists: Players who help others the most
  • Team Player: Players with highest assist-to-takeover ratio

Endurance & Time

  • Longest Track: Players with longest single track by time

Value Formatting

Each leaderboard type displays values in relevant formats:

  • Points: Formatted with thousands separators (e.g., "1,234,567")
  • Time: Hours and minutes (e.g., "2h 45m")
  • Percentages: Assist ratios as percentages (e.g., "75.3%")
  • Rates: Points per hour with decimal precision (e.g., "245.7/h")

Access Levels

Player Display Limits

Leaderboard result sizes depend on your current effective access:

  • Signed-out or unlinked users: Basic leaderboard access
  • Linked Turf accounts: Linked-user leaderboard access

Enhanced Data Access

Linked-user access includes:

  • Detailed Player Data: Additional metrics for top players (>10k points)
  • Extended Rankings: View more players in each leaderboard
  • Historical Context: Better access to round-based data

  • Round Start: First Sunday of each month at 12:00 PM CET/CEST
